Safety Town 2024

Safety Town is a free program offered to children in the community entering kindergarten at Northwood Local Schools.  Safety Town covers safety topics, such as police, fire, bus, railroad, poison control, bicycle safety & a variety of other safety-related topics.

 

Safety Town is hosted at the Northwood Local Schools building, 600 Lemoyne Road.  The sessions are in the morning Monday – Friday. Daily sessions will end with a lunch provided free of charge to all students from in the school cafeteria.  Parents may bring other children during lunch, who will be provided a free lunch as part of a summer feeding program.  Parents are to come to the school cafeteria to pick up their children or sit with them during lunch.  Friday’s session will include a graduation ceremony at the end of the safety session that morning. 

Safety Town 2024 will be held June 17 - 21, 2024. 

Registration is open until June 9th through the City's Rec Desk Program.  Click HERE to register.
